Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University
Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University, located in Bangkok, Thailand, is a public university approved by the Thai Ministry of Education and founded by the Thai government in 1896. It is the highest comprehensive university among the 38 royal institutions in Thailand in terms of quality of teaching and learning. The university has five faculties, namely the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences, the Faculty of Education, the Faculty of Science and Technology, the Faculty of Management and the Faculty of Music, covering a wide range of disciplines. In addition, there is a graduate school. The university has over 20,000 students, about 1,400 teaching staff and over 500 Chinese students.
Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University attaches great importance to exchanges with Chinese universities. In 2006, it was approved by the Chinese State Office of Hanban to host the Confucius Institute in cooperation with Tianjin Normal University in China; the university offers full-time education at undergraduate, master and doctoral levels, and has long-term cooperation and exchanges with Chinese universities such as Guangxi University for Nationalities, Guangxi Foreign Language Institute, Yunnan Normal University and Yunnan Agricultural University.
